My mission is to help parents who are struggling or confused about how to raise happy children in the 21st century. Technology, parents who work more hours than ever, and changing gender roles challenges parents who are passionate about creating the truly modern, happy and stable family that produces well-adjusted kids who are successful in whatever they do.
I will never forget the look on my parents face when during a dinner conversation, I told them “I’m not happy.” I wasn’t happy with me or life. I could see by the look on their faces that those three words were devastating, mostly because they didn’t know what to say to “fix” me, and what to do. They blamed themselves completely. It’s not about being good or bad parents, because my parents are great, rather, it’s about having the skills and awareness to raise kids who are happy and well-adjusted in a rapidly changing society. As a result of that experience and as The Family First Coach, I am dedicated to helping parents so they don’t hear the words, “I’m not happy,” from their kids.
I believe that creating your ideal, modern family is like building a house in that the most important thing you must have is a solid foundation. And, in my experience, the foundation for a strong, emotionally intelligent family is the parents and that’s where we start in working together to create your ideal family. There’s a quote by Mahatma Gandhi that says “Be the change you want to see in the world.” Through my process, 7 Steps To A Deeply Rooted Family, parents will get clarity of who they are so that they can be the change they want to see in their family.
